From Technology to Field Application
Select programmes spanning SIDAK’s core technology domains — from initial development through to field deployment.
Status: Deployment
Multipurpose Heavy-Payload Persistent Aerial Surveillance Platform
A persistent elevated vantage point was required for continuous perimeter and approach-route monitoring at a forward operating location, without the footprint of a permanent mast.
A vehicle-deployable tethered UAV station was engineered, combining a high-payload airframe with continuous ground-based power and a fiber-optic data tether.
Multi-sensor payload integration, automated winch tension management, and an unjammable optical data link.
System demonstrated continuous multi-day loiter with zero RF interception risk during field trials.
High-Altitude Logistics UAV for Forward Areas
Forward posts at extreme altitude needed a reliable means of resupplying critical stores where road access is seasonal or unavailable.
A high-altitude capable cargo UAV was developed with reinforced propulsion and cold-weather battery management for sustained operation above 5,000 m AMSL.
Cold-chain capable payload bay, high-torque propulsion sized for thin-air lift, and automated waypoint delivery.
Successfully flight-tested at high-altitude terrain with full payload under sub-zero conditions.
Border Perimeter AI Surveillance System
A large, difficult-to-access international border stretch required continuous monitoring with limited manpower availability.
An elevated surveillance system with edge-based AI analytics was deployed to provide automated real-time intrusion detection along the monitored stretch.
Edge-level computer vision analytics processed on-platform, reducing reliance on continuous bandwidth-heavy video backhaul.
Field-validated 24×7 operation with automated alerting integrated into the existing command structure.
Tactical Communication Relay & Mesh Extension
A unit operating in a terrain-shadowed valley lacked reliable communication connectivity back to its command post.
An aerial tethered communication relay was configured to extend tactical mesh and cellular coverage from an elevated standoff position.
Airborne mesh repeater payload paired with the smart auto-winch and tension-regulated tether management system.
Demonstrated restoration of reliable comms coverage across a previously blind valley sector during a field exercise.
Counter-UAS Detection & Mitigation System
A sensitive installation required protection against small commercial and improvised unmanned aerial threats.
A layered counter-UAS system combining RF spectrum detection with directional jamming mitigation was engineered for site-specific deployment.
Multi-band RF spectrum fingerprinting coupled with a directional electronic countermeasure response.
Detection and mitigation capability demonstrated against representative threat profiles during controlled trials.
EO/IR Multi-Sensor Payload Integration
An existing surveillance platform needed an upgraded sensor suite capable of reliable day/night target identification.
A gyro-stabilized gimbal integrating cooled thermal imaging with a high-zoom optical sensor was developed and integrated onto the host platform.
Cooled mid-wave infrared core paired with laser rangefinding and AI-assisted moving-target indication.
Payload integration completed and validated through day and night field demonstration flights.
